I don’t recall most of this dream, sadly.
It was a nightmare.
I am with two or three friends. We are young, maybe 16 or 17 years old. There are two girls and a boy or two boys and a girl who are my friends.
We are at a large gym complex with a large pool and locker rooms and a dining hall. My parents are around somewhere as well, and perhaps my brother or sister. But mostly I’m with my friends.
I go into a locker room / restroom. My friends are in the large space enclosing the indoor pool next to the locker room.
I am alone in the locker room. Someone has left a large plastic bag full of gifts. I think perhaps they are mine, perhaps I’ve left the bag there.
My friends pound on the sliding glass door leading from the pool area into the locker room. They are frightened. Something bad is happening. There is a zombie in the locker room with me. They are trying to warn me.
I manage to duck by the zombie and escape out into the pool area with my friends. We go outside the building and around the back. There is a stairway going up the side of the building. We take it up several floors. One of my friends doesn’t come up the stairs with us.
I am at the top of the stairway with one of my friends. The building is three, maybe four stories tall and we are on what would be the roof of the building, only it is only partially there. The building is now a ruin of a building, dilapidated and collapsing in various areas. The roof is mostly caved in.
We are worried about our friend who didn’t follow us up the stairway. He is on the second floor and is trying to make his way up to where we are on the roof. We can see him through the holes in the roof. We can also see what he can’t see, that he is being boxed in on all sides by zombies. We yell down to warn him, but it’s no use.
I leap down to where he is to try to grab him and pull him up to the roof. I can’t recall now if I was successful. I’m back on the roof again and the zombies have spotted my friend and me. They are converging on the roof. We are looking desperately for a way to evade them. We find a way around a small square enclosure on the roof and are able to hide behind it.
The dream ends. I wake up feeling quite frightened.
